5 New Android Smartphone for 2011

1. Samsung 4G LTE

Verizon introduced several 4G phones at the CES and this was one of them. It runs on Android 2.2.2 operating system and has a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, and sports an 8 megapixel camera.

2.Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

This phone, which hasn't been linked to a telecom provider, runs on Android 2.3 operating system. It has a 4.2-inch multi touch screen and has a sleek frame at 8.7 mm wide. It is not yet available in the U.S.

3.LG Optimus Black

Besides having a really cool name, this phone from LG runs on the Android 2.2 operating system and uses LG's 4-inch NOVA display technology, which makes it brighter than most smartphone screens. It's also sleek at 9.2 mm wide and only 106 grams. It is currently without a carrier.

4.HTC Surround

HTC was another company that introduced several phones; this one runs on the Windows Phone 7 operating system. the carrier is AT&T. It has a 3.8 inch screen and 16 GB of storage. It's also designed to be a miniature home theater, with a slide-out speaker and kickstad so users can watch videos without having to hold it, and comes with a zune-based music player.

5.Motorola Atrix

Motorola's big CES announcement was the Xoom, but the company also introduced the AT&T based Android 2.2 run Atrix. The phone has a 4.0 display, is powered by NVIDIA's Tegra processor. WIth the ability to dock and interface with a keyboard or mouse, the phone could possibly replace a netbook.
